Can I just point out how many season finales ended with someone almost dying recently?

  • Doctor Who
  • Sherlock
  • Psych
  • Once Upon a Time (Midseason counts too!)

Thanks writers!

75.) Amy Pond is my favorite companion so far in Doctor Who.

I might so far go to say that she is indeed one of my favorite fictional characters of all time. The Girl Who Waited. The Girl with the Fairy Tale Name.

I mean, yes, a lot of people think the series has gotten too much into her story but I still love her character.

I mean she’s just such a brilliant character honestly. I mean when she was first introduced, I didn’t think much of her, but series five became one of my favorites because of everything… including her. I think the episode that won me over was Vincent and the Doctor, because of her ever present optimism. And it just continued, with her bravery when she was getting taken over by the weeping angels in series 5, to getting kidnapped in series 6. And not to mention, she made a sonic probe using just a cell phone and a tube of lipstick. She’s just such a clever, brilliant character!

I don’t even know how to describe it. I’ve loved all the companions, and I think they’ve all brought a different aspect with the show. But Amy struck with me because I feel like I’ve felt like her so many times. Growing up in Nebraska, I just felt so out of place half the time. And when I got to NH, I was already a bit of strange person from the midwest. And now in NY, it’s like I just don’t fit in as much as I want to.

I get the desire to just leave so very often, and just go on an adventure somewhere. I feel like I’m in a constant place of waiting for something to happen. It’s weird because it’s a feeling that so many people have, but it’s hard to verbalize to anyone.

There’s also just little things, like how we like the same type of things— fashion wise obviously, and making fun of our best friends (my brother who is a dead ringer for the 11th doctor at times) and a common disregard for listening to the rules.

I know she’s leaving the show soon, and I’ve heard that in her last episode someone may die. I just really hope it’s not true, because I don’t want her story to be remembered as the tragic tale of the girl who waited.

61.) I have a plushie Dalek.

He’s red.

And he will exterrrrrrrrrminate you.

Just imagine all the problems that a TARDIS could fix.

The last bit of this Essay will be played to the many renditions of “I am the Doctor”

I’m such a geek!

Can I just say one thing?

Stony Brook Whovians:

PLEASE STOP WRITING BAD WOLF ALL OVER THE PLACE.

SERIOUSLY.

CUT IT OUT.

Sincerely,

Someone who sees Bad Wolf every Monday before Chem Lab, and then has a shitty lab because of said words.

AKA the song I’ve been conducting for the past hour now. No regrets.
